Pick the Bourne 8.8 if
- You want to spend less: it is £87 cheaper delivered today (£63 against £149.99).
- You want more weight behind the ball: the balance is higher, towards the head.
- You want comfort: the core is soft, which gives more help on slow balls and tends to be kinder to the arm.
- You want the more forgiving of the two: the brand pitches it at advanced players, so it asks less of your technique.
Pick the Bourne Prisma Carbon Soft if
- You want it quicker in the hand and easier on the arm: the weight sits lower.
- You swing fast and want a crisper response: the core is firmer.
- You already hit the ball cleanly: the brand pitches it at strong competitive players.
- You hit with a lot of spin: the face is textured to grip the ball.
Not a factor, because they are the same on both: shape (both diamond), weight.
